Then they joke about or call you out your name

Instead of smart & talented—you’re ugly, dumb, & lame

Then they crack on your voice & height

Causing you to cry more at night

They look at you daily from your head to toes

While pointing at your hair & clothes

Talking about the acne & color of the skin

The heart has so much damage—a seamstress couldn’t mend

Each person—on a scale—they rate

Not knowing the victim’s mental state

And how in bed you toss & turn

When only a true friend you wanted & yearned

But no one knows what’s hidden inside

Or that the anger & pain can lead to suicide

Folks may call you weird & strange

But you’re the only person—you can change

Realize a bully may always be a bully

And it’s partly because they don’t know who they are fully

The crowd—they want to chase

Because their insecurities—they can’t erase

But you shouldn’t worry about what they say

You should learn they’ll talk tomorrow—or maybe today

Stand together in unity

Don’t give a bully the opportunity

There are other ways to react

Other than to plot, fight, & attack

All internal pain is real

Cause you or others—they could kill

Don’t let negativity get in your soul—seep

So know you can overcome & find a way to win

So let them talk about you & your whole family tree
