I am a graduate of Lawson State Community College with an A.A.S degree in Criminal Justice. After completing my two year degree, I then transfered to UAB where I received my B.S. degree. I took a six year break to start a family. During my break, I was a fulltime substitute teacher here at Abrams for two year before deciding to pursue my Masters in Elementary Education. I am proud to say that in May of 2010, I graduated from the University of Montevallo with a Masters in Elementary Education.

I have taught Kindergarten here at Abrams Elementary for eight years. Last year I had the opportunity to rekindle with my first love which is third grade! I enjoy every minute of working with the children of our future!

I am married and the proud mother of two little angels. My favorite children's book is A Bad Case of Stripes by David Shannon. I have no pets but if I had to choose, I would love a fish! I love all types of music and occasionally like to play the piano.
