Bio

My name is Tabitha Moore and I am the ARI Reading Specialist at J.S. Abrams Elementary School.  I am a native of Adger, AL.  I am a very proud mother of my only son, Emery A. Moore.  I am the eldest of two brothers and two sisters.  I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

I've always had a passion for teaching.  As a child, I would play "teacher" to my siblings.  After my mother's death in 1999, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher.  While attending school, I taught pre-school at The Learning Center at New Life for 6 1/2 years.  Becoming a teacher has given me the opportunity to impart wisdom and knowledge into the life of every child that I come in contact with.

"Once children learn how to learn, nothing is going to narrow their mind. The essence of teaching is to make learning contagious, to have one idea spark another." Marva Collins
