School Counselors are here to assist students with career, academic, and social/emotional success.

Classroom Counseling 

School Counselors teach lessonin the students’ classroom throughout the year.  The lessons focus on topics such as feelings, bullying, friendships, respect of self and others, career exploration, self-esteem, listening skills, coping skills, diversity, motivation, good character traits, problem-solving skills, and conflict-resolution skills.

Individual Counseling: 

School Counselors help students understand themselves and others.

Small Groups: 

School Counselors offer small groupto students who need help with the same topic, such as family changes, social skills, self-control, study skills, and anger management.

How can my child see counselor

Parents, teachers, and students may request counseloservices. Parents may email or phone the counselor. Students may let their teachers know when they need to see the counselor.  Administrators and teachers alsmake referrals.

Other schoocounseling activities include organizing events such as Red Ribbon Week, Awards Day, Career Day, and State-wide Testing, etc.
